Eagle Lake Elementary School offers a variety of programs which allow students to investigate and develop special talents and interests. The core curriculum is enhanced through enrichment activities which occur within and outside the classroom setting.
Group Counseling Services Group counseling services including Schools Success, Children of Divorce, and Esteem Team are offered through Woodlands Behavioral Health Center.
Language Enrichment Advancement Program Language Enrichment Advancement Program (L.E.A.P) enables students to enhance talents in language arts areas.
Pen Pals Eagle Lake students interact through written correspondence with students enrolled at Intermediate and Primary School, which serve as mentors during a year-end orientation day, which allows students an opportunity to familiarize themselves with their new school.
Character Education To achieve our mission, Eagle Lake Elementary focuses on teaching students caring, responsibility, cooperation, citizenship, trustworthiness and self discipline. These are taught in all classes, practiced, and reported to parents on our new report cards.
Student Planners Planners, which include the Student Code of Conduct, are provided for all students during the first week of school. They are designed to improve student organization, record daily assignments, and encourage communication between school and home.
TAT Meetings Teacher Assistance Team meetings provide educational support and ideas for teachers who may have students experiencing difficulties.
After School Tutoring After school tutoring is offered to help students who are at risk of not passing the core curriculum in the areas of Math, Language Arts, Social Studies and Science.
Summer School Allows students the opportunity to learn the core curriculum areas of Math, Language Arts, Social Studies and Science, in a smaller classroom setting.
